The work UNSCHARF was created in the context of an application for an art award and its accompanying exhibition (titled UNSCHARF). First a text collage was to be produced from text gathered from internet research into the concept “unscharf”. This collage was then to be displayed on a wall at the beginning of the exhibition, replacing, or rather simulating, an introductory text about the exhibition itself.

 

After the submitted proposal could not be realised, Marleine Chedraoui developed the work into another: Relics of the Unrealised UNSCHARF. The text collage is printed onto fabric and presented behind a glass frame. (Frame not pictured)
